Greek Service Day 2011
On October 15, brothers woke up early and were scattered across the Pittsburgh area performing service for the local community. This group in particular helped Mulch Madness Inc. mulch mad trees in various neighborhoods. Looking good bros!
Culture Night 2011
Lambda Phi Epsilon’s step team deliver another intense performance at the 2011 Culture Night. LPHIE, YOU KNOW!
Bone Marrow Drive
Lambda Phi Epsilon, in association with DoSomething.org and DKMS, hosted a bone marrow drive at Carnegie Mellon on October 14, 2011. The drive registered 70 new potential donors into the national bone marrow registry. Each additional potential donor in the registry increases the chances of survival for a patient seeking a bone marrow transplant.
APA Pageant 2011
The brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon hosted another successful Asian-Pacific-American Pageant to kick-off Asian Awareness Month at CMU. This year, 11 participants from 7 Asian student organizations were represented. Congratulations to Kenny Zhu of Pi Delta Psi and Mallory Wang of Taiwanese Students Association for winning the title of Mr. and Mrs. APA.
Halloween on the Quad with KKG
We paired up with the lovely sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma to host a successful Halloween on the Quad experience for children in the local community by providing arts, crafts, and games on Halloween day.
Mr. Fraternity 2011
Mr. Jinsub Hong represented Lambda Phi Epsilon in the 2011 Mr. Fraternity philanthropy event hosted by the wonderful ladies of Kappa Alpha Theta. Good job Jin, we’re all proud of you!
Buffalo Halloween XXIII
More than 20 CMU brothers had the privilege of attending the epic Buffalo Halloween Weekend hosted by the gracious brothers of Nu Chapter, SUNY Buffalo.
Dumpling Buffet 2011
We had a fantastic turnout of over 300 people at our dumpling buffet this year. Then again, how can you turn down all-you-can-eat dumplings for $5?

2011 Greek Sing
On March 2nd, The Lambda Phi Epsilon step team opened the 2011 CMU Greek Sing Philanthropy event with a nerdy yet entertaining step show. The team included step masters Andrew Sung and Jonathan Chan, Willie Zhang, Grant Skudlarek, Phil Yang, Andrew Jin, Will Sergeant, Tony Peng, Alex Su, Bernard Ahn and Eric Liu. Brother Responds to UCLA’s Alexandra Wallace
Nick Rock, a brother of CMU’s Lambda Phi Epsilon responded to the Alexandra Wallace’s infamous Youtube rant about “Asians in the Library”. The article was featured in The Tartan, Carnegie Mellon’s campus newspaper. Above is a clip of the well received article.
1000+ Service Day with the Sisters of Kappa Alpha Theta
On 3/26/11, the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon pitched in to help the community during Carnegie Mellon’s 1000+ Service Event. 1000+ is a day for over 1000 Carnegie Mellon students to give back to the community and help the greater Pittsburgh area. We worked with the wonderful sisters of Kappa Alpha Theta to restore East Liberty to its former glory.
Brotherhood Steak Nights
Whenever steak goes on sale at Giant Eagle (local supermarket), brothers come together and enjoy the ye old tradition of eating meat together. Pictured here is all of the steak we bought before we grilled it. Next picture is our intense grilling.
2011 Chinese New Year Dinner

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, we had a 16 brother hot pot (Shabu Shabu) dinner at our on Margaret Morrison on campus house. Sure enough, this will most likely to continue as a yearly tradition.
